Kathmandu (Kas) – Kshitij Khanal of APF Club and Neeta Lamsal of Nepal Police Club have won the title of the 3rd Yalambar Nationwide Open Badminton Tournament. Kshitij won the men's singles and Neeta won the women's singles.

Kshitij defeated Army's Vivek Chaudhary in straight sets 21-8, 21-15 in the final organized by Nakhipot Youth Club and co-organized by Nakhipot Badminton Circle. Sujan Thapa of Dhading and Bhoj Bahadur Gurung of APF came third.

In the women's final at Nakhipot Covered Hall, Neeta defeated Army's Anumaya Rai by 21-12, 21-13. Army's Seshna Sirpali and Sports Hub's Sitakumari Rai came third. The top three winners in both male/female category received Rs 30,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 7,500 respectively.

Police's Kavir KC won the U-17 men's singles gold. In the final, he defeated Army's Suvin Shrestha in 21-10, 16-21, 21-11 sets. Aman Dangol of Fitness Park and Ima Tamang of Love BA came third. mixed doubles. The pair defeated Jeevan Acharya and Neeta of Police in straight sets 21-12, 21-5 in the final. Pavin Lingthep and Anumaya Rai of the Army and the pair of Army Legislative Officer and Amita Giri settled for the third position. The winner got 30,000, the runner-up got 15,000 and the third got 7,500.

Their pair won 22-20, 21-17 over the pair of Dev Gurung of Tanahun and Shambhukumar Shrestha of Kaski in the final.
