With Lumbini's spinners shining, Lumbini Province secured a low-scoring target and won by 48 runs against Bagmati Province.

Chasing the modest target of 116 runs given by Lumbini on Sunday, Bagmati was bowled out for 67 runs in 22.5 overs in the ongoing Prime Minister's Cup Men's One Day Cricket Tournament in Lamhi.

The eighth day of the tournament at Deukhuri International Cricket Stadium in Lamhi. Batting back in the 20th match, Bagmati scored 36 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the first power play. Coming to the second power play, Bagmati was all out.

Lumbini's spinner bowled brilliantly and dismissed 6 batters to stop Bagmati at a low score. One batsman was caught LBW while 2 batsmen were caught out and 1 was stumped out  .

 For Bagmati, captain Prithu Baskota scored 15 runs in 26 balls with 2 fours. Viprasan was bowled by KC. As the first wicket, Rit Gautam was dismissed by spinner Nirmal Gurung for zero runs in the last ball of the second over, and the streak of wickets falling was maintained by the sharp bowling of the spinner.

Ramesh Kurmi was bowled by Gautam KC after playing 8 balls   . Gautam KC took 4 wickets for 21 runs in 5.4 overs to reduce Lumbini to a low score.

Surya Tamang took 2 wickets by giving away 14 runs with 1 maiden in 8 overs while Eshan Pandey also took 2 wickets by spending 19 runs with 1 maiden in 7 overs. While Rijn Dhakal took 1 wicket with 24 runs, Sonu Devkota took 1 wicket with 37 runs.

In the ongoing competition, Lumbini has won 3 out of 4 matches and has risen from the fourth place to the third place with 6 points. Bagmati province has not been able to get good results in other games except winning 1 out of four games. As part of the competition, there will be a match between Lumbini Province and Madhesh Province in Lamhi on Monday.

organized by Nepal Cricket Association CAN, coordinated by Provincial Cricket Association and managed by Dang Cricket Association, seven provincial teams including 3 departmental teams Army Club, APF Club and Nepal Police Club are playing in the tournament.

The competition is going on in Rupandehi and Dang of Lumbini province from 25th of February. The matches of the tournament, which started simultaneously at Siddharth Cricket Stadium and Extratech Oval ground in Rupandehi, are being played on a round-robin basis. Each team will play against one other team. 14 matches are scheduled to be held in Dang as part of the competition that will last until the 16th of Chait.
