APF won by 5 wickets in Prime Minister's Cup Cricket

With the help of Deepak Bohra's half-century, the departmental team APF Club defeated Karnali Province on Sunday in the Prime Minister's Cup Men's One Day National Cricket Tournament in Rupandehi.

APF defeated Karnali by 5 wickets in the match at Siddharth Cricket Stadium in Bhairawa. Chasing the target of 190 runs given by Karnali for victory, APF scored 193 runs with the loss of 5 wickets in 39.2 overs. This is the third victory of APF . Bohra contributed 70 runs for APF. He hit 8 fours and 4 sixes in 67 balls. Sumit Maharjan scored 35 runs off 53 balls.

Opener Lokesh Bam and captain Rohit Paudel contributed 22/22 and Ashif Shaikh contributed 25 runs. Sandeep Zora and Bhuvan Karki scored 6/6 respectively. In bowling, Dipendra Rawat and Diwan Pun took 2/2 wickets for Karnali. Similarly, 1 wicket remained in the name of Prakash Jaisi. Before that, Karnali, who won the toss and batted first at Siddharth Cricket Stadium, scored 189 runs after losing all wickets in 47 overs. Opener Sunil Dhamala contributed the most 47 runs for Karnali. He hit 5 fours and 1 six off 75 balls. 

Dinesh Adhikari scored 33 runs while Dipendra Rawat added 30 unbeaten runs. Prakash Jaisi contributed 20 runs, captain Diwan Pun 12 and Arjun Gharti contributed 10 runs. Other batters could not score runs in double figures . In bowling, Abhishesh Gautam took the most 4 wickets for APF. Gautam spent 33 runs keeping 2 maidens in 10 overs.

Similarly, Kamal Singh Airi took 2 wickets while captain Rohit Kumar Paudel, Bhuvan Karki, Kishore Mahato and Deepak Bohora each took 1/1 wicket. After this result, APF is in the third place in the table with 6 points from 4 games. Nepal Police Club, which played the same 4/4 match, is at the top position with 8 points and Tribhuvan Army Club is at the second position with 8 points. This is the third consecutive defeat of Karnali. With the loss, Karnali finished eighth in the table and has only 2 points. As part of the

competition, there will be a match between Sudurpaschim Province and Nepal Police Club at Siddharth Stadium on Monday at 9 am. Similarly, the next match to be held on Monday will be a competition between APF and Tribhuvan Army Club in the departmental derby. APF and Army will face each other at 9 am at Xtratake over ground in Tilottma .
