After defeating Machchindra Football Club Kathmandu, Namobudwa Football Club became the winner of the fifth edition of Panchthar Gold Cup held at Phidim in Saptari Panchthar.

Saptari won the title by defeating Machindra Football Club Kathmandu by 1-0 in the final match held at Fidim Secondary School's playground on Saturday. The goal scored by foreign player Alex in the 72nd minute was decisive in Saptari's victory. With this win, Saptari received a trophy medal and certificate with a cash prize of Rs. Nirmal Chhiring of Saptari was declared Man of the Match and was awarded with 7,500 cash in Saturday's match.

Saptari's Dipesh Chamling was declared Man of the Tournament and received 15,000 in cash.

Alex from Namo Budwa and Raj Bhusal from Church Boys who scored equal 3-3 throughout the tournament were declared the top scorers, Nirosh Lingden from the host Panchthar Club was declared the Rising Player, Dhankumar Tamang from Saptari of Namo Budwa was declared the best coach, Vivek Rai from Namobudwa was the West Midfielder, Debendra Tamang from Machhindra was the West Defender and Jayaratna Sekh of Namobudwa Saptari was declared the West Goalkeeper. They were rewarded with cash of 10,000. 

The fifth edition of Panchthar Gold Cup started from February 24. 8 teams including 4 A Division clubs of Nepal and Hill's Football Academy of India along with host Panchthar Club and Saptari participated in the game.
