Bagmati Province has won the title of the 7th National Uma Kung Fu Tournament on Saturday. Bagmati team became the champion by winning the most 19 golds. In the competition organized by the National Uma Kungfu Association, Koshi Province came second with 13 golds. Third place Gandaki province won 7 gold.

Rakesh Kulung Rai was declared the best player in men and Aronia Shri in women. Both are from Bagmati. Inaugurating the

competition, Minister of Youth and Sports Tejulal Chaudhary praised the work done by the Uma Kung Fu Association on its own initiative despite limited resources and means. General Secretary of the National Sports Council Staff Association Kumar Basnet appreciated the teamwork and efficiency of the officials of the Uma Kung Fu Association. On the occasion of

inauguration, Sanjit Kumar Rai, Bhupendra Gurung and Kamal Magar who won medals in various international competitions were honored with certificates of appreciation. All three honorees are international judges. Deepak Shrestha, the chief trainer of Uma Kung Fu, was also honored on the same occasion.
