With the help of Tritraj Das' century, the departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club defeated Koshi Pradesh in the Prime Minister's Cup Men's National Cricket Tournament.

On Saturday, the Army defeated the weak Koshi Pradesh by 7 wickets at the Siddharth Cricket Ground at Bhairahwa in Rupandehi. This is the fourth consecutive victory of the Army. Army achieved the target of 231 runs in 47.1 overs by losing 3 wickets. Opener Tritraj Das contributed 112 unbeaten runs in Army's victory. Das hit 14 fours and 1 six off 139 balls. Das was declared the player of the match.

Similarly, Basir Ahmed played a half-century innings. He scored an unbeaten 61 off 62 balls with the help of 4 sixes. Captain Vinod Bhandari scored 27 runs, Bhim Sarki scored 12 runs and Santosh Karki scored 7 runs. In bowling, Sandeep Dhungana, Bhupal Luintel and Prakash Karki took 1/1 wicket each for Koshi. 

Before that, Koshi, who won the toss and batted first at Siddharth Cricket Ground, scored 230 runs losing all wickets in 49.3 overs. Subhan Gahatraj played a half-century innings of 51 runs for Koshi. He hit 7 fours in 57 balls. Sonu Ansari scored 44 runs, Sujan Thapalia scored 42 runs and Sandeep Dhungana scored 21 runs.  In bowling, Sompal Kami alone took 4 wickets for Army. Sompal bowled 8 overs and scored 37 runs. Akash Chand and Shahab Alam took 2 wickets each. 1 wicket remained in the name of Kushal Malla. 

After this result, the undefeated Army is in the second place in the table with 8 points from 4 matches. Another departmental team Nepal Police Club was at the top of the table. 

In another match on Saturday, Police defeated Madhesh Pradesh and climbed to the top of the points table. Pusil has 8 points from the same 4 games. Although Army has the same 8 points, it is in the second place on the basis of net run rate. Earlier, Army defeated Bagmati Pradesh by 134 runs in their first match. In the second match, Sudurpaschim was defeated by 8 wickets and in the third match Karnali Pradesh was defeated by 127 runs.  Koshi Pradesh is winless in the ongoing

competition. Losing in all previous matches, Koshi is at the bottom of the points table. Koshi lost their first match against Lumbini Pradesh by 26 runs. Koshi lost by 165 runs against Madhes in the second match and lost by 154 runs against the departmental team Nepal Police Club in the third match.   Three departmental teams, Tribhuvan Army, APF and Nepal Police Club are participating in the

competition.
