NOC's fury after being banned from going abroad

The Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) held a press conference and expressed its anger towards the government after it started preventing its officials from going abroad.

NOC held a press conference on Friday and stated that it is a violation of the constitutional and human rights of Nepali citizens to live and move.

NOC President Jeevanram Shrestha was tried to be deported by the immigration department in Kuwait last Tuesday. However, he was saved from deportation after the initiative of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). Chairman Shrestha said, "The act of stopping someone from walking without the offense prescribed by law is despotic and dictatorial." Such behavior and interference is against the constitution and laws of Nepal and the Olympic Charter. We strongly condemn and condemn such actions and strongly request the government to stop such actions immediately. We request the government to immediately return the correspondence to the immigration department of the airport.'

The National Sports Council (Rakhep) wrote to the Immigration Department on February 6 to stop the foreign travel of officials and members of the Nepal Olympic Committee.

A new committee was elected again under the chairmanship of Jeevan Ram Shrestha from the online election held on January 14. The board meeting of the National Sports Council declared the election illegal as the election was conducted in disregard of the interim order of the Supreme Court, and action was taken against the national sports participating in the election.

NOC President Shrestha said that if the government continues to carry out such unconstitutional activities, Nepal will suffer a huge loss in international sports.
