Departmental team Nepal Police Club defeated APF Club by 2 wickets in a match held on Friday as part of the Nepal Telecom Prime Minister's Cup ODI Men's Cricket Tournament in Lamhi.

Police Club completed the target of 95 runs given by APF Club at the Deukhuri International Cricket Stadium in Lamhi with the loss of 8 wickets in 26.2 overs.

The police, chasing a common goal, struggled to win. After losing eight wickets, the police club was under pressure and Gulsan Jha scored a four to give victory. Abhishesh Gautam's ball was shown to the leg side for a boundary and won against APF.

Gulson scored 12 runs unbeaten with 2 fours. Kushal Bhurtel scored 31 runs with 2 boundaries while Arjun Saud contributed 11 runs and Rashid Khan contributed 10 runs.

For APF, Bhuvan Karki took 3 wickets for 33 runs with 3 maidens in 7 overs. Similarly, captain Rohit Paudel and Abhishesh Gautam took 2 wickets each. 1 wicket remained for Kamal Airi.

Earlier, the departmental team APF Club scored 95 runs against Nepal Police Club. After winning the toss, APF club batted first and scored a total of 94 runs in 27.4 overs.

Nepal Police Club's Lalit Narayan Rajvanshi took an important 6 wickets and APF were bundled out for 94 runs.

After Lalit spent a total of 18 runs in 7.4 overs and took 6 wickets with 3 maidens, the APF team was wrapped up cheaply.

For APF, Lokesh Bam scored 22 runs, Asif Sheikh scored 18 runs, Sandeep Zora scored 26 runs, and Amar Rautela added 10 runs.

Lalit took 6 wickets by preying on Asif Sheikh, Sandeep Zora, Sumit Maharjan, Bhuvan Karki, Kamal Singh Airi and Abhishesh Gautam while Sagar Dhakal, Karan KC, Gulsan Jha, Kushal Bhurtel took 1 wicket each.

The tournament is being organized by Nepal Cricket Association CAN, coordinated by Provincial Cricket Association and managed by Dang Cricket Association. Seven provincial teams including 3 departmental teams Army Club, APF Club and Nepal Police Club are playing the tournament in Rupandehi and Dang of Lumbini Province from February 25th.
