Prime Minister's Cup Cricket: APF won by 2 wickets on Kamalsingh Airy's all-round performance

The departmental team APF club won by 2 wickets in the match held on Thursday as part of the Prime Minister's Cup men's cricket tournament. APF won by 2 wickets against Madhesh Pradesh due to the all-round performance of Kamalsingh Airi.

APF completed the target of 169 runs given by Madhesh Pradesh in 36.5 overs with the loss of 8 wickets in the ongoing match at Deukhuri International Cricket Stadium in Lamhi. Kamalsingh Airey hit a winning six to give APF victory. He scored 28 unbeaten runs with the help of 3 sixes  . Chasing the same target, after Sumit Maharjan returned to the pavilion with 35 runs, APF who were under some pressure, Kamalsingh Airi won by playing an excellent innings.

In the 31st over, Kamalsingh Airi hit two consecutive sixes on Harishankar Shah and created pressure on Madhesh Pradesh. APF lost Lokesh Bam for 18 runs in the third over while scoring 21 runs for APF who won by 79 balls.

Kamal Gupta's tight bowling, captain Rohit Paudel for 18 runs, Deepak Bohra was ducked out. Sumit Maharjan contributed 35 runs and laid the foundation for the team's victory. Amarsingh Rautela scored 16 runs on the strength of Pradeep Paswan  Bolded out.

Kamal Gupta of Madhesh Pradesh took 4 wickets with 1 maiden in 10 overs for 40 runs. Pradeep Paswan   He gave 28 runs with 1 maiden and took 2 wickets. Rupesh Singh and Harishankar Shah took 1 wicket each.

Earlier, Madhesh Pradesh, who won the toss and batted first, scored 168 runs in 40.4 overs losing all wickets. Although Madhesh started well, the middle-order batsmen could not hold on to the crease, giving APF a moderate target. When Madhesh captain Anil Kumar Sah and Mayan Yadav scored 31 runs, Madhesh's wicket began to fall when Mayan was bowled out by Bhuvan Karki.

However, Madhesh's Pawan Sarraf had raised the bar. After scoring 77 runs with 5 sixes and 8 fours in the 34th over, Kamalsingh Airy bowled  After returning to the pavilion, the subsequent batters played under pressure from the APF bowlers. For Madhesh, captain Anil Sah scored 17 runs, Mayan Yadav scored 11 runs, Rupesh Singh and Pradeep Paswan scored 10 runs each, but other players could not score double-digit runs. APF's Kamal Singh Airi took 4 important wickets with 55 runs in 9 overs with 1 maiden to cover 168 runs. Similarly, Bhuvan Karki and captain Rohit Paudel took 2 wickets each while Abhisesh Gautam took 1 wicket.  In the

tournament, Kamalsingh Airy, who performed bowling and batting all-round, became the player of the match. Teams from seven provinces, including 3 departments, are participating in the ongoing tournament organized by the Nepal Cricket Association CAN, coordinated by the Provincial Cricket Association and managed by the Dang Cricket Association.

The matches of the tournament, which started simultaneously at the Siddharth Cricket Stadium and Extratech Oval ground in Rupandehi, are being held on a round-robin basis. Each team will play against one other team.

14 games are scheduled to be held in Dang as part of the competition that will last until the 16th of March. With Thursday's victory in the ongoing competition  APF Club has risen to the top position of training, while Madhesh Pradesh is in fourth place.
