IGI Prudential Insurance is going to be the main sponsor of Shahid Smarak 'B' Division League competing club Bansbari.

Prem Thapa, president of the club, said that Prudential has agreed to provide Rs 10 lakh to Bansbari Club as the main sponsor. The club will get 7 lakhs in cash and 3 lakhs worth of sports equipment.

Thapa, who is also the chairman of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward-3 and  Sriram Bhandari, Chief Marketing Manager of Prudential, signed the agreement. The

club will be co-sponsored by IME Group. 3 lakh will be provided by IME to the team. Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward 3 has also given 5 lakhs to the club. According to President Thapa, 5 million more will be spent for this season.

Bansbari started this season's B Division League by competing against Saraswati Yuva Club at the ANFA complex in Satdobato. The goal of the club, which has appointed Niran Bista as the head coach, is to move up to the A Division. Bansbari was in the top four last season.
