Madhesh province's resounding victory

Madhesh Pradesh won the Prime Minister's Cup One Day National Cricket Tournament at Siddharth Cricket Ground in Rupandehi on Tuesday. Madhesh won by 165 runs against Koshi region. Madhesh's first victory.

 

Madhesh made a strong total of 284 runs with the loss of 6 wickets inspired by three batsmen's half-century. Pawan Sarraf scored 92 runs off 85 balls for Madhesh who won the toss and batted. He hit 11 fours and 2 sixes.

opener and captain Anil Kumar Shah scored 75 runs. Anil, who played 75 balls, hit 10 fours. Dipesh Das scored 56 not out. He hit 7 fours and 1 six off 60 balls. Koshi's Bipin Mahato and Prakash Karki took 2 wickets each.

Chasing a huge target of 285 runs, Koshy was bowled out after scoring 199 runs in 33 overs. Koshi's Shakib Haque scored 25 runs. Openers Chirag Shah and Ankit Subedi were both ducked out. In bowling, Rupesh Singh of Madhesh took 5 wickets with 29 runs. Rajesh Yadav took 3 wickets. Pawan Saraf was named player of the match. This is Koshy's second defeat in a row. 

On Wednesday, there will be a match between Sudurpaschim and Tribhuvan Army at Siddharth Cricket Ground and Koshi Pradesh and Nepal Police at Extratech Oval Ground.

Gandaki success against Karnali

Dang - Deepak Dumre's unbeaten half-century led Gandaki Province to a 4-wicket win against Karnali Province in the Prime Minister's Cup men's cricket tournament on Tuesday. Gandaki completed the normal target of 92 runs given by Karnali Province at the Deukhuri Cricket Stadium in Lamhi with the loss of 6 wickets.

Deepak Dumre and Sujan Gautam were under pressure after Gandaki's first batter was dismissed cheaply and they took care of the game and gave the team victory in 29.1 overs. 

Deepak and Sujan shared a dynamic partnership when 6 wickets were lost for 22 runs in 12 overs. Deepak scored 50 runs with 7 boundaries and Sujan Gautam scored 22 runs with 3 boundaries. Deepak Dumre, who scored a half-century, became the player of the match. Diwan Pun of Karnali took 3 wickets while Dipendra Rawat took 2 wickets and Yunish Thakuri took 1 wicket. Earlier, none of Karnali's players, who were invited to bat after losing the toss, could not put up a memorable performance. Apart from Bipin Shahi scoring 20 runs, Arjun Gharti scoring 17 runs, Bipin Rawal scoring 15 runs and Himanshu Shahi scoring 12 runs, Karnali was bowled out for 91 runs in 27.2 overs.

Gandaki's Chandra Poudel, Subas Bhandari and Bipin Khatri took 2 wickets each to defeat Karnali cheaply. Sandeep Parajuli and Amrit Gurung had 1 wicket each.

Gandaki won first in 2 matches. Earlier, Gandaki suffered a 6-wicket loss against Sudurpaschim. A match is scheduled between the departmental team APF and Madhesh Pradesh on Thursday.
