The National Uma Kung Fu Association will organize the 7th National Uma Kung Fu Tournament on Saturday.
Bhupendra Gurung, vice president of the association, said in a press conference on Tuesday that 175 players from 18 different districts will participate in the competition. There will be 39 competitions in sanda, tai chi and pattern. There will be 19 competitions in Sanda, 4 in Taichi and 16 competitions in pattern wear hand and weapon. To complete the
competition, a 9-member original organizing committee has been formed under the coordination of Vice President Gurung, who is also an international judge. Various sub-committees have also been formed. Chairman Rai said that about 11 lakh rupees will be spent to conduct the
competition. Food, lodging and transportation facilities will be provided to players from outside the valley. The one-day tournament will be played at the Kundalini Royals Banquet.
