10th National Hetaunda Veterans Cup At A Side Running Shield Football Tournament title was won by Kingcom Veterans Kathmandu.
In the final match held in Hetaunda on Monday, Kingcom Veterans became champions by defeating Freedom Fighters Veterans Kathmandu in a tiebreaker. The winner has managed to get a trophy with 1 lakh 50 thousand 555 rupees, while the runner-up has received 75 thousand 555 rupees.
In the 14th minute of the game, Krishna Malakar scored a goal for Freedom Fighter Veterans, but in the 27th minute of the game, Jagatman Lama of Kingcom Veterans equalized by scoring a goal. The match went to a tiebreaker after both groups scored equal goals at the scheduled time. In the tiebreaker, Kinkom Veterans won with a 3-2 goal difference. The best player of the
tournament was Tenzing Lama of Freedom Fighter. He won the trophy along with 10,000 rupees. The city chief of Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city, Meenakumari Lama, gave the award to the players. The main sponsor of the
competition was Hetaunda Sub-Metropolitan City and co-sponsor Hetaunda School of Management. 15 veterans teams from different parts of the country participated in the tournament organized by Hetaunda Veterans Club which started on 22nd of February.
