The fifth Manjushree Trail Race (MTR) is going to be held from 1st to 3rd of Chait. According to the organizer Manjushree Trail Race, more than 500 athletes will run this time. 408 and 94 women in Manjushree Trace Race. 371 Nepalis and 131 foreigners will participate.

The fifth Manjushree Trail Race will be run in 100 miles, 100 km, 50 km, 30 km and 10 km events. 100 miles will start from Single Tree at Swayambhu and end at the same place. The 100 km race will start from Serene Resort in Nagarkot, the 50 km race from Godavari and the 30 km race from Solid Rock Lodge Dollu Perming. All races will end at Pavana House at Single Tree.

Manjushree Trail Race is a qualifier event of Asia Trail Masters. The winner of Manjushree will be selected for the Asia Trail Masters in Vietnam. In the Asia Trail Masters, Nepalese athletes remain as title contenders.

Rasila Tamang in 2023 and Priya Rai in 2024 won the title of Asia Trail Masters. Runner Rasila said that the trail race is an international medal game for Nepalis.  

1st to 3rd finishers in 100 miles will receive prizes of 75, 40 and 20 thousand rupees respectively. 50, 25 and 15,000 respectively for the first to third in 100 km and 30, 15 and 30, respectively for the first to third in 50 km. And will get a prize of 10,000 rupees. 20, 10 and 5,000 prizes will be awarded to the first to third in 30 km respectively.  

Executive Chairman of Manjushree Trail Race, Narayan Acharya said that according to the legend, Manjushree walked from China to Nepal, at that time Kathmandu valley was filled with water and Manjushree cut the Chobhar hill and made Kathmandu valley habitable, so the race was named Manjusree Trail Race.

Race Director Ashish Mishra recalled that there were only seven runners in the first edition and said that now more than 500 people have participated and it is a great joy.
