Church Boys shock India's Hills Academy into Panchthar Gold Cup semi-finals

Church Boys United Kathmandu has entered the semi-finals of the 5th Panchthar Goldac. In the match completed on Sunday, the Church Boys defeated the Hills Football Academy of India by 4-0 to advance to the semi-finals.

  Raj Bhusal (number 9) of Church Boys scored 2 goals in the

competition. In the sixth minute of the game, foreign player Fofona opened the account of Church Boys by scoring the first goal. Another player Raj Bhusal (number 10) scored the second goal in the eighth minute.

The third goal for the church boys who led 2-0 before the interval was scored by Abhishek Mahato in the 64th minute after the interval and the fourth goal was scored by Raj Bhusal (number 9) in the extra time .

Bhusal, who scored two goals, was declared man of the match and was awarded with 7,500 cash.

Panchthar Club has informed that there will be a match between Himalayan Sherpa Club Kathmandu and Machindra Football Club Kathmandu on Monday.

8 teams from Nepal and India participated in the fifth edition of the Panchthar Gold Cup starting from February 24. India's Hills Academy and host Panchthar Club have been eliminated from the first round.
