Rising Star Football Club has won the title of the 3rd Chief Minister Kohlpur Gold Cup Football Tournament held in Kohalpur.
In Saturday's final, Rising Star beat host Kohlapur Racing Sahara Club 2-0. The first half was scoreless at the Thir Bigah ground located in Kohalpur-2. The visiting team won the title for the first time by scoring two consecutive goals in the second half. Rising's captain Vinod Kewat scored a goal in the first minute. After two minutes, he scored the second goal. He was declared Man of the Match .
Rising received 8 lakh rupees along with the trophy . Purna Prasad Acharya, Chief of Kohalpur Municipality, presented the prize to the winning team. Kohlpur Racing, who became the runner-up, got 4 lakh rupees. Vinod KC of the organizer Racing Sahara won the award for the best player in the category. He received 51 thousand . Rising Star's Chetan Tharu West Defender, Prateek Sunar Best Goalkeeper, Sandeep KC won the Best Coach Award . They received 10,000 rupees as the best in the category Vinod Kewat of Rising Star and Dhansingh Bik of Kankrebihar Football Club became the top scorers. They received 5,000 each. Eight teams participated in the competition organized by Kohalpur Racing Sahara Club.
