Bumrah and Mayank may miss the opening games of the IPL

Mumbai Indians fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and Lucknow Super Giants pacer Mayank Yadav are likely to miss the opening IPL match of this season.

Both the fast bowlers are on rest at BCCI's Center of Excellence in Bengaluru.

According to Times of India, Bumrah's medical report is normal. He has resumed bowling practice at COE. However, it is still not clear that he will be able to bowl at the start of the IPL. It is said that he can join the team by the first week of April.

Bumrah Border was injured in the last match of the Gavaskar Trophy. Bumrah could not even play the Champions Trophy due to a lower back injury. On the other hand, Mayank Yadav was injured in the last IPL.

Before that, he participated in only three domestic and international matches. He is under stress due to muscle problems.

Mayank played for Lucknow Super Giants last year. He was also the player of the match by giving 27 runs in four overs and taking 3 wickets. He is also the first pacer to become the debut player of the match.
