Orchid School has won the Bharatpur Mayor's Cup Interschool League Cricket Tournament. In the tournament organized by Bharatpur Metropolitan Corporation, Orchid defeated Narayani Namanal M.V. by 4 wickets on Saturday. Orchid is a past winner.
In the final, which was held at the Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium under construction in Rampur, Orchid achieved the modest target of 77 runs given by Narayani with the loss of 6 wickets in 25.3 overs. Salman Ansari scored 23 unbeaten and Mandeep Baral added 18 runs. Narayana's Umesh Mahato took 2 wickets and Rahul Kushwaha took 1 wicket.
Narayani won the toss and was bowled out for 76 after playing 23.3 overs. Ayush Giri scored 25 runs and Sameer Poudel scored 14 runs. Orchid's famous Aryal took 4 wickets with 7 runs in 6 overs. Captain Mandeep Baral took 4 wickets for 22 runs in 6 overs.

Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality Chief Renu Dahal, Deputy Chief Chitrasen Adhikari, Chitwan District Cricket Association President Sudeep Piya, Chitwan Rhinos CEO Pratap Devkota distributed the prizes to the winners. 47 schools of Bharatpur metropolis participated in the league cricket which lasted for about 3 months.
