Nepali tennis player Abhishek Bastola has made himself known as a hitting partner in the ongoing BNP Paribas Open Tennis in Indiana Wells, California.
ATP/WTA BNP Tennis is being held at Indiana Wells Tennis Garden from March 2. The competition will run until March 16. Abhishek has been invited as a hitting partner for the second consecutive time in VNP. As a hitting partner, he has to play practice matches with top ATP and WTA players, warm them up and help them practice.
Abhishek also became the hitting partner of Greece's Stefanos Tsitsipas. Abhishek said that it was a proud moment for him to become a hitting partner with Stephanos, who has reached the third place in the world rankings.
Stefanos, who presents an aggressive game on any court, is known for his one-handed backhand. He is the highest ranked player in Greek tennis history. In the Grand Slam, Stefanos reached the finals of the 2021 French Open and the 2023 Australian Open. In both the finals, he was defeated by the Serbian Novak Djokovic, who introduced the Grand Slam King.
