The 2nd Junior National Karate Tournament organized by Nepal Kyokushin Karate Association Pako has started on Friday at Annapurna Vinayak School.
Sanju Maharjan, branch chief of the organizing association, said that 285 players from Koshi, Bagmati, Madhesh and Karnali provinces participated in the competition. The top four in the team will get cash prizes of 25,000, 15,000, 10,000 and 5,000 respectively. Competition is being held in 14 events, 7-7 in men/women. Suvarna Shrestha, a member of the National Sports Council, inaugurated the competition. Member Shrestha and Rakhep member Jagat Singh Dhami were honored. The competition will be completed on Saturday.
