Butwal Mayor's Cup Snooker Championship title has been won by Som Lama from Hetaunda. In a 7-hour long match on Thursday, Som won the title by defeating Birtamod's Saroj Gautam by 7-5 points.
In the match played on the basis of best of 13, Som Lama won the first 5 sets consecutively. Then Saroj continuously 4 Won the set. After winning the 10th set, Mon Saroj won the eleventh set to increase the lead. Som managed to capture the title after winning the twelfth set.
Som got a prize of 3 lakh 3 thousand rupees along with the title, while Saroj got 1 lakh 1 thousand rupees, Som Lama got 55 thousand rupees as the highest breaker, reached the semi-finals Regan Shrestha from Butwal and Wang Chu Tamang from Kathmandu Received Rs 30/30 thousand in cash.
