Divisional team Nepal Army has entered the semi-finals after defeating home team Morang 11 by 1-0 on Wednesday. In the first quarter-final held at Biratnagar's Shahid Rangshala, Army secured a place in the last four by disappointing Morang.

Niraj Chaudhary scored for Army. The goal he scored in the 37th minute became decisive. Patheman Galle's cross pass from the middle was scored by Niraj with an excellent goal .

Under pressure after the first goal, Morang wasted many efforts to equalize. Morang, who presented aggressively in the second half, could not return the goal.

The first half of the game was very challenging for Army. Although some excellent opportunities were created, the army failed to make use of those opportunities . In the 33rd minute, Morang's goalkeeper Purna Chemjong made a great save from Niraj Chaudhary's hard shot. Immediately in the 34th minute, Sujan Chaudhary's hard shot failed to hit the frame . In the 50th minute, Dinesh Hemjan's shot was blocked by Morang's goalkeeper.

In the 53rd minute of the game, Bhuvan Basnet's hard shot from 25 yards was saved by Army goalkeeper Wickes Kuthu. Morang, who failed to score in some other good opportunities, had to be disappointed despite having the full support of the home audience  . In the 70th minute, Dorje Tamang's shot was also missed.  In the

competition, Army goalkeeper Wickes Kuthu was declared as the 'Player of the Match'. He received a cash prize of Rs 11,000. On Thursday, the second quarterfinal match will be between the Armed Police Force (APF) and the Nepal Police Club.
