Mahavir Club has entered the semi-finals of Sunagabha Sainamaina Gold Cup held at Kathmandu Sainamaina. Mahaveer reached the semi-finals by defeating Hanami BFC Club 2-0 in the match on Thursday.
Mahavir's Suraj Tharu scored the first goal in the 18th minute of the first half. In the second half of the game, Mahavir added the second goal through Tharukai's strike.
Despite having good opportunities, Hanami BFC failed to score and the match ended 2-0. Suraj scored two goals for his team and became the 'Man of the Match'.
Coordinator Ashok Khadka said that Friday's match will be between the organizer Murgia Football Club and a club from neighboring India, Sikkim. The winner of the competition will get 7 lakh rupees, while the runner-up will get 4 lakh along with a trophy, medal and certificate.
