New Zealand in the final

India will face New Zealand in the ICC Men's Champions Trophy cricket title clash. New Zealand beat South Africa by 50 runs in the second semi-final on Wednesday.

Having a challenging target of 363 runs for victory, South Africa could only score 312 runs after losing 9 wickets. The final will be held in Dubai on Sunday. India defeated Australia by 4 wickets in the first semi-final.

For South Africa, David Miller scored a sensational 100 off 67 balls, but it was not decisive. He hit 10 fours and 4 sixes off 67 balls. Before that, opener Ryan Rickelson was dismissed for 17 runs. Another opener and captain Temba Bavuma added 56 runs. He was dismissed by Mitchell Santner. He shared a partnership of 150 runs with Ross van der Dusen for the second wicket. He was also bowled for 69 runs by Santner.

He played 66 balls and hit 4 fours and 2 sixes. After that, South Africa could not score runs openly. He was also losing wickets at regular intervals. New Zealand's bowling attack, which performed well with the bat at the start, also remained disciplined. Santner's performance proved decisive in sealing South Africa cheaply. Before that, with the help of Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson's excellent centuries, New Zealand lost 6 wickets and set up a score of 362 runs. This is the highest score in the history of the tournament. Ravindra scored 108 runs off 101 balls. Williamson scored 102 runs in 94 balls. was 66 runs in the last 5 overs. The South African bowling attack proved to be weak from the start. Ravindra shared a partnership of 48 runs for the first wicket with Will Young who scored 21 runs. Then Ravindra and Williamson made a solid partnership of 164 runs.

Ravindra completed his century in 93 balls by scoring 2 runs off Kagiso Rabada. This was his fifth ODI century. All these have been made in official tournaments of the International Cricket Council (ICC). He hit 13 fours and 1 six. Williamson notched up his 15th ODI century. There were 10 fours and 2 sixes from his bat. Earlier, Australia had set a high score of 356 runs for 5 wickets against England in Lahore.
