After defeating Lord Buddha Cricket Club by 50 runs, Damak Cricket Team has entered the second stage. After losing the toss and batting first at the Saraswati Mavi Stadium in Bahundangi, Jhapa on Thursday, Damak lost all wickets in 16 overs and made a respectable total of 141 runs.
Abhishek Thapa scored 47 off 27 balls for Damak. Niraj Thapa added 34 runs playing 15 balls. Vivek Paudel contributed 13 runs and Vijay contributed 12 runs.
On the bowling side, Lord Buddha Cricket Club's Ayush Karki and Arjun Rajvanshi took three wickets each. While Kshitij Portel took two wickets, Pravesh Dahal and Ravi Goswami took one wicket each.
While chasing the winning target of 142 runs, Lord Buddha Cricket Club was reduced to 90 runs. Kshitij Portel scored the highest 38 runs in 21 balls for the team. Apart from the contribution of 12 runs by Subham Limbu and 11 runs by Uttam Rajvanshi, other players could not score double runs.
Damak's Vijay Tamang took four wickets with excellent bowling and Niraj Pathak took three wickets. Vinod Vick, Abhishek Thapa and Anish Khadka took one wicket each. The best player of the
competition was Niraj Pathak from Damak. On Friday, there will be a match between Ball Blaster Bhadrapur and Jhapa Cricket Club, according to Pravin Bhandari, the game coordinator of Bahundangi Yuva Club.
