Machindra FC became the champions of the second Chief Minister Kapilvastu Tilaurakot Gold Cup football tournament. In the final match on Wednesday, Machindra became the champion by defeating Three Star FC against Zeroka by one goal.
Devendra Tamang scored the decisive goal to make Machindra the champion. He scored in the 12th minute of the game. He also became the 'Man of the Match' in the final with 10,000 cash. After becoming the
champion, Machindra received a shield, medal and certificate along with 11 lakh 11 thousand 111 cash, while the runner-up Three Star received a shield, medal and certificate with 5 lakh 55 thousand 555 rupees.
In the second semi-final match, Machindra reached the final with a thrilling 1-0 win against Jongri FC Sikkim, India, while Threestar reached the final with a 1-0 win against Sankata FC in the first semi-final match.
The tournament organized by the District Football Association started on February 14 at Buddha Stadium in Wanganga Municipality. 8 teams participated in the competition.
