Former captain Malla inaugurated the cricket academy

Gyanendra Malla, the former captain of the national cricket team, inaugurated the Radiant Cricket Academy on Wednesday.

The academy opened in Sanepa, Lalitpur Metropolitan City-2 is spread over an area of ​​about 4 ropani. According to Radiant Readers Academy, about 30 lakh rupees were spent to prepare the academy. The

coaches include the National Sports Council's chief cricket coach Samsungjung Thapa, Sonu Das and Saksham Bastakoti. Although the academy has been operational recently, Radiant Readers has been providing cricket training to students for 6 years. It is reported that 150 players are training at

school. Apart from cricket, Radiant Readers is also training and participating students in table tennis, basketball, football, swimming, karate and gymnastics.

Former captain Malla said that establishing the academy is a commendable act and expressed his belief that the academy will contribute to the development of Nepali cricket. He said that ordinary training is not enough, so if training takes place in the academy, it will help in increasing the ability of the players.  Principal DK Dhungana, the founder of Radiant Readers, who is also the central president of Pabson, said that the academy was established with the aim of producing players and manpower who will contribute to the nation.

He informed that Pabson is working towards establishing a sports university or sports college in Nepal as well.

Rajesh Maharjan, President of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-2, Vinod Maharjan, President of Lalitpur District Sports Development Committee, Shekhar Shrestha, President of Lalitpur District Cricket Association participated in the inauguration. There was an invitation to give 'autograph' to former captain Malla.
