In the second semi-final match held on Monday, Machindra secured a thrilling 1-goal win over Zongri FC Sikkim India against Three Star in the final.
The first half ended in a goalless draw. In the second half, Bimal scored in the 53rd minute to give Machindra the lead. After Sikkim failed to return the goal, Bimal's goal proved decisive for Machindra to reach the final.
Bimal, who is also the captain of Machindra, was declared 'man of the match'. He received the trophy along with Rs.10,000 in cash. In the first semi-final match on Sunday, Three Star FC Lalitpur has reached the final with a thrilling 1-0 win against Sankata FC.
On Wednesday at 3 pm, the president of District Football Association Tilak Thapa said that Three Star and Machindra will compete for the title of the second Chief Minister Kapilvastu Tilaurakot Gold Cup football tournament.
The winning team of the tournament organized by the District Football Association will receive 11 lakh 11 thousand 111 and the second place will receive a shield, medal and certificate along with 5 lakh 55 thousand 555 rupees, said Sushil Singh Thakuri, the game coordinator. The final of the Gold Cup, which started on February 14, will be held on February 21 at Buddha Stadium in Wanganga Municipality.
