Australian coach Matt Ross has been given the responsibility of the head coach of the Nepali national men's football team. The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) held a press conference on Monday and informed that Ross has been appointed as the head coach.
ANFA has appointed Ross as the head coach of the Nepali national football team for one year with effect from Sunday. In the press conference organized by ANFA on Monday at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Coach Ross said that the goal is to win the SAFF Championship this year.
He has expressed his hope to try to get good results in the Asian Cup Qualifiers . He said that there are capable players in the Nepali football team and there are also capable players in the women's team.
He has also mentioned that he has trained football teams and clubs from different countries for about 20 years.
