The title of the district level open badminton tournament held in Maivakhola Rural Municipality was won by Milin Gurung in men's singles and the duo of Milin and Basant Gurung in doubles.
In the finals of the tournament held on the occasion of Mahashivratri, Milin defeated Basant in singles and Yuvraj Bogti and Gyanu Tembe in doubles.
Singles winners received 10,000 and runners-up received 5,000 and doubles winners received 15,000 and second runners-up 7,500 with medals and certificates. Club secretary Chiranjeevi Chongwang informed the organizer Jalaj that 20 teams are participating in the competition. Badminton competition was conducted along with football and volleyball in the
competition.
Village Chairman Vijay Prakash Vanem presented the prize to the winner.
