Menchhayayem Rural Municipality of Tehrathum has won the women's football tournament title held in the center Sanghu of Maivakhola Rural Municipality. The title was won by defeating Meringden Rural Municipality of Taplejung in a tiebreaker.

After there was no goal in the scheduled time, Menchhayem won 4-3 in the tiebreaker. According to Chiranjeevi Chongwang, secretary of Jalaj, the organizer of the

club, the winner received 80,000 and the runner-up received 40,000 as well as trophies and medals. Teams from 7 rural villages participated in the

competition. On the occasion of Mahashivratri, the winners and runners-up of the competition organized from February 13 were distributed prizes and certificates by village president Vijay Vanem.
