National women's football team player Preeti Rai has been awarded as the best female football player. Young Star Foundation in collaboration with Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) honored Preeti with 1 lakh rupees on Saturday.
Mohanchandra Singh, president of the foundation, presented the honor to Preeti. She was declared the best player in the National Women's League for her significant contribution in making APF the champion. With
being the best, Preeti said that this kind of honor will energize the common players and encourage them to perform strongly for the country in the future.
