The Nepal Army team became the team champion in the 24th ITF Taekwondo National Tournament and Bagmati Province 1st U-15 National School ITF Taekwondo Tournament on Saturday.

Army won 13 gold, 7 silver and 5 bronze medals in the national competition organized by Nepal International Taekwondo Federation (NITF). Lumbini Province, which came second, won 5 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals. With 3 golds, 5 silvers and 7 bronzes, Bagmati Province stood third. Bhim Bahadur Tamang of Army in men and Sushmita Thapa Magar of Gandaki province were the best players in women.

Bagmati, who became the champion in U-15, won 5 gold, 3 silver and 7 bronze medals. Gandaki came second with 3 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze and APF came third with 2 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze. In U-15, Bhupesh Nath from Sudurpaschim Pradesh and Sandhya Khatri from Gandaki were selected as the best.
