Police's Swanim Manandhar and Army's Sanjumaya Thing won gold medals in the 4th Krishna Prasad Bhattarai Memorial National Karate Tournament. Swanim and Sanju won in women's singles.

Swanim scored 42.3 points at the Karate Academy Hall in Satdobato. Vinay Limbu of Army came second and Vasant Pariyar of Gandaki and Manish Karki of APF came third. Sanju scored 41.8 points. Elina Thing of Bagmati Province was second and Barsha Saud of Far West and Meera Khati of APF were third.

Under the main sponsorship of Godavari Municipality, the police team won the men's team Katama competition organized by District Head Dojo Lagankhel Lalitpur. Swarnim, the gold winner in the single kata, teamed up with Furten Tamang and Jagatsingh Dhanuk to win another gold. This team scored 42.2 points. Bagmati was second and Koshi province and APF were in third place.
