Srovan Paul of Teesta Torsa Table Tennis Club of India and Prachi Ghosh of Darjeeling Table Tennis Association have won gold medals in the 7th Remembrance Cup International Table Tennis Tournament. In U-16 singles, Srovan was the winner for boys and Prachi was the winner for girls.
Srovan defeated Prajil Bhattarai of AVM Table Tennis Club by 3-2 in the final held at the National Table Tennis Training Center in Lanchaur. He overturned the 2-0 deficit and turned the result in his favor. Srovan won the match 6-11, 12-14, 11-8, 11-8, 11-8. Shriraj Varadan of Talent Scout Table Tennis Hub and Arnav Shrestha of YAL came third. In the
girls title match, Prachi easily defeated Sachari Chakraborty of Global Table Tennis Academy by 11-1, 11-9, 11-4. Shubhshree Shrestha of Nepal Police Club and Shruti Das of Tista Torsa came third.
The top three position winners in both groups will receive 20,000, 10,000 and 5,000 rupees respectively.
4 gold medals have been won in the tournament organized by Lalitpur Table Tennis Club. Earlier, Lalitpur Table Tennis Club won the gold in the men's team event and Global won the gold in the women's. Competing in 9 competitions.
