On the first day of the Surya Nepal NPGA Tour Championship, Toran Vikram Shahi had a fast start on Tuesday. He has a 4 stroke lead over Neeraj Tamang and Sanjay Lama by preparing a score card of 7 under 75. Neeraj and Sanjay scored 3 under 69.
Dinesh Prajapati, Jairam Shrestha and Tank Karki are tied for fourth place with scores of 2-under 70. Ravi Khadka is in seventh place with a 1-under 71.
Bhu Bahadur Gurung, Balabhadra Rai and Ramesh Adhikari and defending champion and Nepal's number one amateur player Sadbhav Acharya with an even par score of 72 is in eighth place.
Toran hit four birdies on the second, third, fifth and ninth holes. He finished the front nine at 3-under 33 after dropping a shot on the eighth hole. He played without a bogey while maintaining an excellent rhythm on the back nine. He made four birdies on the 11th, 13th, 15th and 17th holes to finish 4 under 32.
Neeraj Tamang, who has won two tournaments in a row, birdied the third, fifth and seventh holes to finish the front nine at 3 under 33. After this, a bogey on the 13th hole against a birdie on the 11th hole finished the back nine at even par 36.

Sadbhavah remained 3 strokes ahead of national team members Rahul Vishwakarma and Babu Poudel. He scored an even par 72 while Rahul and Babu scored 3 Prepared a card of over 75.
30 professional and 9 amateur golfers are competing in the four-day tournament. The winner will get Rs 150,000, the runner-up will get Rs 1 lakh and the third runner-up will get Rs 75,000.
