Subas Shahi, the promoter of Sudurpaschim Cricket, was honored on Monday. On the occasion of its 37th establishment, LRI School honored personalities who have contributed in various fields including Shahi in the capital on Monday.
Shahi, who brought the excitement of cricket to the Far West through the SPA Cup, started Citybase franchise cricket in Nepal for the first time in 2016 through an auction in Dhangadhi. After that, Dhangadhi Cricket Academy was brought into operation under the leadership of Shahi. Shahi was honored with the Laxman Rajvanshi Award at LRI with Rs 1 lakh.
Arjuna Trophy National Cricket Tournament has been held through his organization Go Dreamers since this year. The government appointed Shahi as the chairman of the board of Phapla International Cricket Stadium and Khelgram Infrastructure Construction Development Committee and proceeded with the construction of a cricket stadium in Dhangadhi.
LRI honored Kalpana Bhatt of Drashti Foundation Kailali with 225,000. Ramesh Prasad Gautam, former principal of Padyodaya Umawi, Leelanath Sharma, former principal of Mangalodaya Mavi, Poorna Dawadi, former principal of Narayani English Public School, Chitwan, were honored with 25,000 in various titles.
LRI's Nirmala Bhatt was honored with 'Teacher of the Year', IT in-charge Ramesh Sapkota with 'Outstanding Personal' award with 25 thousand and supporting staff Nirmala Tamang with 'Outstanding Staff' award with 11 thousand. The school's cricket coach Anup Shrestha and Anshuma Maharjan, who excelled in Chinese language, were honored with Yashodhara Pant and Ysrekha Pant awards respectively from 25,000 people.
Similarly, 'School Topper' Yogesh Kumar Bohra was honored with 'Principal Award' with 1 lakh. Tourism expert Karna Shakya, founder of LRI Shivraj Pant, director Devkant Joshi and principal Badal Pradhan among others gave the honor.
