Liverpool took an 11-point lead at the top of the English Premier League on Sunday. He defeated Manchester City 2-0. Along with this, Liverpool was heading towards a record 20 league titles.
Mohamed Salah was once again the hero in Liverpool's victory. He scored the first goal of the game and it was his 30th goal of the season. Dominik Sabosalai added the second goal in the first half.
"It was a special victory, because we are strong in the title race," said Salah after the game. This is the first time Liverpool have beaten City at the Etihad in over a decade. Salah added, 'We want to win the league.'
In the next match on Sunday, Newcastle United beat Nottingham Forest 4-3. In the league table, Liverpool has 64 points from 27 games, while Arsenal is in second place with 53 points, having played one game less.
