In the second Mayor's Cup inter-school football competition held in Butwal, Scholars Home Secondary School won the title for students.
Scholars Home won the title by defeating New Horizon Boarding School by 1-0. Along with the title, he has received a shield, a certificate with Rs 1 lakh . Runner-up New Horizon Madhyamik Vidyalaya received 50,000 cash prize, shield and certificate.
Likewise, Kalika Manav Gyan Vidyalaya won the title for female students. Kalika won the match by defeating Gargi Academy by 3-1. He got 50 thousand rupees as a reward. Gargi Academy, the runner-up, received a cash prize of Rs 30,000, a shield and a certificate.
Giving prizes to the winning team, Khelraj Pandey, head of the sub-metropolitan city, said that Butwal is aiming to develop through sports. He said that by using the local 8 playgrounds for various games, the children and youth of Butwal will be promoted in sports.
