Bhaktapur Municipal Cricket Association (BMCA) has won the Bhaktapur District Qualifier title organized for the Prime Minister's Cup Men's National Tournament. BMCA defeated Bhaktapur Cricket Center by 7 wickets in the final at Moolpani Cricket Ground on Saturday.
BMCA set a target of 116 runs at 20. Completed in 2 overs. Gaurav Paudel scored the highest 49 runs. Unbeaten, he hit 4 fours and 1 six off 53 balls. Vishal Devkota also scored 26 runs unbeaten and shared 78 runs for the fourth wicket. Saurabh Sakhkarmi was dismissed for 17 runs. Center's Lokesh Pal took 2 wickets and Trisan Chaulagai took 1 wicket.
Bhaktapur Cricket Center, who had lost the toss earlier, were bowled out for 115 runs in 35.2 overs. Deepen Shrestha scored 34 runs, Abhishek Basnet scored 18 runs and Samarpan Adhikari scored 17 runs. Sagar Ghimire took 3 wickets from BMCA. Player of the final Sagar took 4 maidens in 6 overs and only 4 runs were spent. Active Pratap Karki took 2 wickets and Dhirendra Kumar Basnet, Manish Shrestha, Shashank Dawadi and Sarthak Neupane took 1 wicket each.
The best player was Vinod Tamang of Center, the best bowler was Suman Humagain of Himalaya Sports Management and the best batter was Akash Kumar Shah of Janpremi Sports. Paras Khadka, secretary of Nepal Cricket Association, Manishraj Pandey, president of Bhaktapur Cricket Association distributed prizes to the winning players of the 12-team tournament.
