The 'mini auction' for Nepal Super League (NSL) 2025 has been held on Saturday and with its completion, the structure of the team that will participate in the competition is almost ready.
Seven teams will participate in the competition to be held in March. Among them are defending champions Lalitpur City FC, Kathmandu Razors, Dhangadhi FC, Jhapa FC, FC Chitwan, Pokhara Thunders and Butwal-Lumbini.
This is the first time that a 'mini auction' has been organized in Nepali football. A total of 60 players have been placed in the 'Mini Auction'. Among them, there were 15 players of 'Category A' and 45 of 'Category B'. The players who fall into 'Category C' will be decided later by the 'Draft'. So far almost all the teams have announced the names of their marquee and captain players . Similarly, the name of the head coach has been announced by almost all the teams.
Each team has 'retained' some players . A total of 21 players were not sold. Now foreign players, Nepalese players abroad and players from "talent hunt" are yet to be selected. After the 'Mini Auction' the starting structure of all the teams will be like this . The unsold players were selected by the team through the 'Wish List'.
