Sagarmatha Youth Club Morang and Machindra Football Club will compete for the title of the 15th International Invitational Control Itahari Gold Cup Football Tournament on Saturday. In the pre-match conference held on Friday, the coaches and captains of both teams claimed that they will win the final.

Ashok Khawas, the captain of Everest, who has won the tournament twice in a row, claimed to win the title again. "This is also our home ground, we have won twice, we are confident of winning the title this year as well," he said, "We want to perform with high morale as the local audience will add to our enthusiasm."

coach Yuwen Gurung also said he is confident of winning the title. Coach Gurung said that since Machindra Club is playing one tournament after another, the players are tired and will take advantage of it. "Itahari Gold Cup is a domestic competition for us, we are supported by our own ground and the encouragement of the audience," says coach Gurung.

Machindra, who participated in the competition for the first time, is at stake to create history by breaking the title journey of Everest. Captain Vishal Shrestha said that even if the opposing team is good, they will win the title. The Everest team is good, the players have played well. It has won twice before. But we have seen two of their games. We are confident of winning the title if we play according to the strategy," said Captain Shrestha.

Team Manager Shirish Shrestha said that he has reached the final in his first participation and is confident of winning the title. He also claimed that Everest players played well but his team will win the title in the final. He admitted that the players will be under some pressure if they continue to participate in Mofusal competitions because ANFA has contested the Gold Cups. However, he clarified that it was managed because there were two teams.

Sagarmatha Youth Club defeated NRT in the quarter-finals and Dharan Football Club in the semi-finals and decided the final. Machind defeated Jhapa Football Club in the quarter-finals and United Kharsang Football Club (UKFC) in the semi-finals to seal the title clash. The winner will get Rs 10 lakh and the runner-up will get Rs 5 lakh. The final match will be held at Itahari Stadium in the afternoon, according to the organizer Rashtriya Jagriti Club.
