Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city-15 has won the title of Anupam Ghalan memorial city-level U-16 football tournament.
In Saturday's title clash, 15 won the title by upsetting No. 18 in sudden death. The winner received a trophy with one lakh rupees while the runner-up received 70 thousand rupees. The decision was taken through sudden death after the

Naveen Low of 15, Midfielder Sajan Lopchan of 18, Rehan Ghalan of Forward 15 and Ujjwal Waiba of Hetaunda-15 were declared the best defender. The best player of the
competition was Abhiraj Thapa Magar of 18. He received a trophy with 10,000 rupees and the best player in the category received 5,000 rupees. Deputy Mayor Rajesh Baniyan, City Sports Development Committee Chairman Ravindra Ghimire, District Sports Development Committee Chairman Rajkumar Moktan and others distributed the prizes.
The competition was organized by the Municipal Sports Development Committee of Hetaunda and under the sponsorship of Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city. 10 out of 19 wards of Hetaunda participated in the competition held at Pipley Campa Stadium.
Anupam Ghalan of Hetaunda-12 died in a landslide at Sisneri in Makwanpur last October. After the death of Ghalan, a teenage player of ANFA Academy, the tournament was organized in his memory.
