The 7th edition of the Bagmati Gold Cup national football tournament has been finalized for the final four. The equation was completed when Machindra defeated Sarlahi's Bagmati Yuva Club 1-0 in the last quarter-final at Shahid Smriti Stadium located in Bagmati-4 on Thursday.
Regine Subba scored a penalty in the 43rd minute of the match in the victory of former winners Machindra. Bagmati player Hemant Bhujel in the 42nd minute of the game stopped the ball with his hand on the goal line and the referee gave a penalty. Using that opportunity, Regin scored a goal.
Machindrakai Shishir Lekhi was declared man of the match. He received Rs.10,000. In the
competition, Bagmati Youth reached the quarterfinals by defeating the host Bagmati Rural Municipality Sports Development Committee. Machindra was directly placed in the quarterfinals. Machindra won the title by defeating APF in the last edition. In the first semi-final, Church Voices will compete against Sankata on Friday, while Machindra will meet Three Star Club on Saturday. The
finale will be on February 12. The champion team will receive 10 lakhs and the runners-up will receive 5 lakhs. 1 lakh 1 thousand will be given to the best player and 25 thousand to the best player in the category.
