India's Ashutosh Kumar has won the title of the first Vidur Mayor Cup International Intelligence Competition.
Ashutosh rated 1871 from India and Dhiren Rai rated 1878 from Nepal scored the same 6 points and got the first and second place based on Bucholjs rules in the competition organized by Nuwakot District Intellectual Association.
In the final stage, Ashutosh tied with Nepal's CM Sushrut Dahal, while Dhiren registered a victory over Purushottam Chaulagai and scored equal points with Ashutosh.
FM Kshitij Bhandari finished third with 5 and a half points and a high of 30 Bukozles points. Sushruta could not win the final match and lost the title. He scored 5.5 points and took fourth place with 29.5 books. India's Vinayakasin Yadav secured 25 bucoljs points and finished fifth. Nepal's Purushottam Silwal, India's Mohit Kumar Soni, FM Rupesh Jaiswal, Sushil Chaudhary and Badrilal Nepali scored 5 points and won the fifth to tenth place.
Prakash Joshi from Nuwakot became the local winner. Success Shrestha was second. With equal 4 points, Shankar Prasad Ghimire managed to finish third, Shiv Shrestha fourth and Suraj Lama finished fifth. On the women's side, Binita Kapali won the first place, Sindira Joshi the second place and Vaishnavi Prakash from India won the third place.
Sumit Joshi, Navin Vaidya, Amit Kumar Yadav have come in the top three positions respectively in the tournament in which 74 national and international players are participating.
For senior players, Naveen Tandukar, Mohansin Pradhan, Basant Shrestha, Prem Khadka, rating below 1800, Armaan Siddiqui, Sushil Subedi, Vinod Timalsina, Shahid Hussain, Rajkumar Rai, rating below 1600 won the top three positions. Mahaj Iqbal, Abhash Kumar Shrestha, Satwikman Tuladhar and U-16 Prakhar Tripathi, Pravin KC, Shashwat Shrestha won three places in youth 18 years. Vidur Municipality Mayor Rajan Shrestha and Deputy Mayor Prabha Bogti awarded 237,000 prizes and trophies to the winning players.
President of Nuwakot District Chess Association, Prakash Joshi, President of Vidur Municipality Ward 1, Lenin Ranjit informed that there is a long history of intelligence games in Nuwakot.
