The Nepali women's national cricket team is going to visit Uganda. The first visit to Africa will be from March 6 to 17. The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has said that a decision has yet to be made on how many matches will be played in the tour of Uganda.
CAN spokesperson Chumbi Lama said that Nepal is likely to play 5 matches in the tour. CAN announced the 18-member starting squad for the tour of Uganda on Tuesday, captained by Indu Burma. Veteran all-rounder Sita Ranamar has not been kept in the team. Lama said that he was not kept due to injury. The players of the
team are Rubina Chhetri, Vindu Rawal, Elisa Yadav, Sana Praveen, Rajmati Airi, Roma Thapa, Mamta Chaudhary, Ishwari Bista, Pooja Mahato, Kavita Joshi, Manisha Upadhyay, Savanam Rai, Simana KC, Rachna Chaudhary, Shobha Rokaya, Riya Sharma and Yakkan Khadka.
Uganda is 18th and Nepal is 20th in the women's Twenty20 international rankings.
