An 8-member Nepali wrestling team, including 6 players who are undergoing special training for national team preparation under Mission-2026, went to Nandaninagar in Uttar Pradesh, India on Monday. The team went to India to make the preparations more effective.

Mission 2026 is being conducted by the National Sports Council (NSC) in preparation for the 20th Asian Games to be held in Japan. The team consists of 3-3 male/female players and 2 coaches . Among the male players are Suresh Chunara, Sujith Yadav and Ramkishore Yadav. The

women include Sushila Chand, Manisha Singh and Hema Bhatt. The coaches include Mumtaz Ali Idrisi, the head coach of wrestling and Sanjay Yadav as the assistant coach.

Rakhep member-secretary Tanklal Ghising, Rakhep member Anjan Dhamala and Rakhep member and Nepal Wrestling Association President Prakash Kumar Kusari bid farewell to Rakhep on Monday.

During the stay in India, the team will train for 15 days and also play a friendly match with the Indian players, the head coach Idrisi informed.
