National U-20 Women's Rugby Sevens Championship organized by Nepal Women's Rugby Club will be held on February 6 and 7.
8 teams from 6 provinces and 2 clubs will participate in the competition, President of the organizing club Elisa Thapa informed in the press conference. Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Gandaki, Madhesh, Koshi and Bagmati provinces and host Nepal Women's Rugby Club and Himalayan Tiger Rugby Club will participate in the tournament. Participating teams will be divided into two groups and will be played on a Leaguecom knockout basis. The top two teams in the group will enter the knockout stage. The
winner will get Rs 50,000 and the runner-up will get Rs 30,000. The organizer will arrange one-way transport expenses, meals, snacks and accommodation for the participating teams. According to the organizers, the competition was held keeping in mind the preparation of the tenth national sports to provide exposure to the players of the age group. The two-day tournament will be played at Madhyapur Youth Association ground in Bhaktapur.
