Reliance School reached the semi-finals of the first Himalayan inter-school basketball tournament for senior girls on Sunday.
Reliance defeated Acme 16-4 at the host Himali School's court. Srishti Magar of Reliance scored 8.
In junior boys, Sunshine defeated Himali 12-7 and Sambhavi defeated Eastpole 42-4 to secure a place in the semi-finals. Sunshine's Janish Tolange scored 6 points and Sambhavi's Naresh Vick added 19 points. In another league, Innovative defeated Kathmandu Xavier Public 4-3.
In senior boys, Kathmandu Xavier beat Anupam 35-23, Hames beat Florida 49-41, Green Lawns beat Eastpole 32-8 and Keir English beat our Sunshine 44-40 to confirm their place in the quarterfinals. Suvarna Bhujel of Kathmandu Xavier scored 11, Ashutosh Yadav of Hemes scored 21, Dev Deula of Green Lawns scored 18 and Apil Shrestha of CARE scored 22.
