Gyan Niketan and Green Lawns won the senior boys of the first Himalayan inter-school basketball tournament on Saturday.

Gyan Niketan defeated the host Himali School with a score of 41-34. Mahendra Pyakurel of Gyan Niketan scored 16. Green Lawns beat Canvas 36-17 with Suyog Rajak's 16 points.

In the same competition, Wilson Academy beat Hames 54-42 and Acme beat our Sunshine 36-29. Wilson's Rehan Dangal scored 15 and  Acme's Simon scored 18.

In junior boys, Sunshine defeated Innovative 22-4 and host Himali Boarding School defeated Kathmandu Xavier Public 18-10. Sunshine's Jenish Tolange scored 10 and Himalaya's Unique Rocca scored 8. In

girls, Reliance defeated AGM 27-6, Canvas defeated Wilson 13-11 and Green Lawns defeated Acme 8-4. Elisha Tamang of Reliance scored 14, Pavitra Budhathoki of Canvas scored 7 and Abhisarika Rajak of Greenlans scored 4.
